Based in Austin, Texas, Barrelhouse Dogs deliver a raucous mix of ol' fashioned acoustic folk and country blues. Hearkening back to the old "road house" tradition, Barrelhouse Dogs draw from roots, bluegrass, old-timey, and folk music, as well as original songs and some unlikely covers, and blend them all together in true Americana style. The "doghouse" bass and bluegrass mandolin backbeats drive the folk style rhythm guitar, ripping blues harmonica, old timey fiddle, and ‘Texas twang" of the guitar and dobro leads to create the unique and upbeat "Barrelhouse Dogs" sound.
